N2 - The importance of public spaces nowadays has become more important, so this research aims to propose a design that allows urban regeneration and therefore social integration for a better quality of life for the inhabitants of the Tumilaca River, one of the three tributaries of the Moquegua River basin, since there is a long history of disasters, whose occurrence is related to numerous natural events and climatic phenomena and changes. As a methodology, design strategies were applied with a sustainable approach, considering bioclimatic criteria appropriate to the environment, and as a result, a central plaza, sports areas, bicycle paths, trails and a viewpoint were implemented within the public space of the river. In conclusion, the study area has climatic characteristics that do not favor an adequate urban-environmental development for its intervention, and the use of the proposed clean energies allows mitigating environmental contamination, allowing taking advantage of the climatology of the place.
