Abstract

This research aims to reflect and debate from the different theoretical foundations and approaches, on quality management and the principles that support it. The research is of a qualitative nature of a documentary nature, supported by scientific articles and documents authored by various authors (Gutiérrez, 2010; Camisón et al, 2006; Cantú, 2006; Hernández, Barrios and Martínez, 2018; Lizarzabul, 2016), that allow to deepen knowledge and confront theories that can later enrich existing knowledge. After analysis and theoretical discussion, the results indicate that the most outstanding principles of quality management are customer satisfaction; leadership, human talent management; process management; continuous improvement and relationships with suppliers, concluding that companies must take them on to consolidate world-class quality management systems.
