Abstract
Microfiction has been experiencing a growing boom for at least three decades in Latin America. Peruvian literature is not an exception to such a phenomenon. One of the aspects of this genre in that country is the short story that deals with the subject of the fantastic, which has not yet been fully studied. The following article analyzes the short stories of six of the most representative authors of this period: Carlos Herrera, Daniel Salvo, Ricardo Sumalavia, Julia Sovero Lazo, Amalia Álvarez Camere and Violeta Jurado Serpa.
